El Salto Report:
The 2011-2012 Season started with a bang and should continue in the same vein and better to the end of July! You can see from the photos that our customers seem to be having the time and adventure of their lives on good old Lake El Salto.
The numbers have been outstanding with a fair amount of Big Bass up to 13 pounds thrown in for good measure. Shad & Shaynna Goldston from Texas did very well on crank baits. The DD 10s & 22 and Fat Free Shad were the order of the day.
It seems that our customers were catching numbers and good Largemouth Bass on whatever bait and presentation put them in their particular comfort zone. We have had good results with 8? Zoom Lizards, Senko?s, Rat-L-Traps, Jigs, Big Worms to 12?, Swim Baits and Crank Baits.
Some have experienced excellent topwater action on Pop?R type baits and Buzz Baits.
El Salto is terrific and we believe it will continue to be so until we close July 31. There is still plenty of time left to come down and soak your favorite bait in the world?s #1 Lake for Trophy Florida Strain Large Mouth Bass.
